#Ministry of ICT Uganda

Uganda’s National Communication Policy 2026 establishes common messaging standards, structured crisis protocols, and mandatory citizen feedback loops to eliminate conflicting information across government ministries and restore public trust.

The Government of Uganda has embarked on a major digital transformation drive to integrate more than 700 fragmented ICT systems across public agencies, eliminating duplicated processes and paving the way for paperless governance and Artificial Intelligence deployment.

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed veteran communication specialist Dennis Katungi as the substantive Deputy Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre, filling a vacancy created by the late Colonel Shaban Bantariza.
